Mural of Hope

University Student and Social Activist, Shiri Asangwe, has partnered with therapeutic arts programme, sp(i)eel to design and paint a mural of hope with ten of our Junior School students. The mural, which is located at the entrance on the way to our school’s library, shows a colourful daisy and has a powerful message, which reads, “This daisy is a pledge to new beginnings. We bloom where we are planted”. Shiri’s goal with creating the mural was to guide the students to design something that they felt was reflective of their own community and values. She hopes the mural will ignite a fire of optimism among our students for many years to come.
