Discover inspiring journeys and achievements of our students, alumni, and school communities.

As Christel House South Africa celebrates 25 years of impact, the focus is not only on how far we’ve come, but on how many more children are still waiting for opportunity. In 2027, that opportunity is expanding into Gugulethu (New Rest and Kanana-NY111) and Nyanga (KTC), bringing more families within reach of a life-changing opportunity. Our Admissions team is already on the ground, building trust with families, engaging community leaders, and identifying new students.
The Moment Your Support Makes Possible
Before a child ever enters a classroom, there is a quieter moment… one that most donors never see. A parent sits in a community hall, listening. At first, there is curiosity. Then questions. And sometimes, slowly, hope begins to take shape.
As Admissions Lead Makgotso Nqwata shares, “There is a moment I witness often… when a parent begins to realise what is possible for their child.” She says, sometimes, that hope is captured in a single sentence, “I just want my child to have a chance.” That chance does not exist without a funded scholarship.
What Your Donation Unlocks
For the 2027 academic year, Christel House South Africa has opened applications for Grade RR and Grade 8, welcoming more learners into our no-fee scholarship programme. Each scholarship provides far more than education. It removes the barriers that prevent children from accessing and staying in school:
And critically, it provides 19 years of consistent support, from early childhood through to five years post-matric.
Proven Impact You Can Invest In
After 25 years, the outcomes are clear: 95% of Christel House South Africa alumni are employed, studying further, or both. This is what sustained, holistic education makes possible. Christel House South Africa CEO, Adri Marais explains: “Every scholarship represents a life-changing opportunity for a child to access quality education, care, and long-term support. It’s only through philanthropic partnerships that we are able to grow our reach.”
Why This Moment Matters
This development runs in parallel with the construction of our school’s new high school, which has already increased the student body to 975 learners, including 120 new Grade 8 and Grade 9 students. Once fully completed, the expansion will double the high school’s capacity to 300 learners by 2030, enabling Christel House South Africa to support even more young people on their journey to academic success and long-term opportunity.
