We are excited to announce the launch of our ambitious fundraising campaign aimed at building a new Christel House school in the Western Cape, serving students from Grade RR to Grade 12. The official campaign kick-off took place on 6 March 2025 at an investor briefing hosted by Wesgro at their Cape Town CBD offices.

During the event, key figures including Western Cape Minister of Education, David Maynier, and Business Strategy and Stakeholder Management Director, Ashley Roman, highlighted the region’s educational challenges and the pressing need for accessible, quality education. Adri Marais, CEO of Christel House South Africa, alongside David Harris, President and CEO of Christel House International, shared our school’s expansion strategy and facilitated a dynamic discussion about how donors and partners can contribute through financial investments, services, and sponsorships.

Edu Invest, powered by Wesgro is a groundbreaking public-private partnership initiative, in collaboration with the Western Cape Education Department (WCED). Edu Invest has assisted our school by hosting the event at their offices, facilitating discussions with the WCED and reaching out to their network. “We could not be more proud to partner with Christel House in this project, as we believe that a thriving economy starts in the classroom,” says Wesgro CEO, Wrenelle Stander.

Christel House International, which operates nine schools worldwide—including Christel House South Africa, established in 2001 as its only African campus—has pledged to invest R100 million into the local expansion project. This investment is a crucial step in our mission to expand our footprint and impact in the Western Cape and across South Africa.
