Our High School Laboratory recently got a facelift, thanks to Lord Anthony St John, a member of the United Kingdom Parliament and proud board member of Christel House Europe Lord Anthony is an avid runner and took part in the London Marathon to raise funds for our school. Our school’s science lab now provides a learning area that creates a conducive environment for our students.
As a notable expert of South African affairs, Lord Anthony St John took interest in Christel House and the school’s impact on the socio-economic development of the twenty communities our school serves. Through the online fundraising platform, Just Giving, he raised £ 5 500 for the revamp of Christel House’s science lab, which now has new flooring, storage cupboards, functional desks, science kits and a fresh new lick of paint on the walls.
Christel House South Africa’s leading development priority is an astute focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM), ensuring that our students are equipped with related skills that will help them enter high-earning potential careers suited to the future economy of South Africa. Thanks to the commitment and contribution by Lord Antony St John, our newly revamped Science lab will continue to inspire our students to strive for careers in the STEAM disciplines.
